“The worst day fishing is better than the best day at work.”
I haven’t posted in forever because I have been really down in the dumps regarding the job situation. As most people probably know, the mortgage biz is definitely experiencing a slump, and work is scarce. Although I am not as bad off as some of my friends in the biz are- I do have somewhat of a job - my hours and paycheck have been sliced to ribbons. I have sent out numerous resumes and have received 1 response- for a sales job. (I’m not in sales, unfortunately.) What was really depressing, was talking to these recruiters, who have zero understanding about the actual position they are recruiting for. For instance, the ONE person who responded to my resume asked me, “If you got a loan, what would you do with it?” I felt like saying, “Why, I would line the rabbit cage with it, that’s what I’d do with it!”. Of course, I refrained from actually saying that, but I am sure my annoyance could be heard through the tone in my voice. I’m not very good at pretending to be bubbly, THAT’S WHY I AM NOT A FUCKING SALESPERSON!
